FMRP Receives Florida Product Approval for .032″ Barrel Style Aluminum Tile

May 2013

The design concept behind the NEW .032” Barrel Style Aluminum Tile Roofing is unique. In an effort to manufacturer an aluminum product with superior uplift characteristics “you have to think outside the box”.

Even though the panel profile is identical to the 24-Gauge Steel System. The concept for the .032” Aluminum Tile Roofing System is completely different.

The panel was narrowed to a 27-inch coverage wide which eliminated all side-lap attachments. Panels are manufactured in various lengths up to 8’-6. The panels are easily installed with one or two installers. The panels are attached to the deck with #9-15 x 1-1/2” lg. Stainless Steel Screws in a FIELD screw pattern. This concept allowed us to achieve a FIELD design pressure of -127.50 PSF, which meets the 2014 FBC for 200 MPH.
