FMRP Receives Florida Product Approval for .032″ Barrel Style Aluminum Tile

May 2013

The design concept behind the NEW .032” Barrel Style Aluminum Tile Roofing is unique. In an effort to manufacturer an aluminum product with superior uplift characteristics “you have to think outside the box”.

Even though the panel profile is identical to the 24-Gauge Steel System. The concept for the .032” Aluminum Tile Roofing System is completely different.

The panel was narrowed to a 27-inch coverage wide which eliminated all side-lap attachments. Panels are manufactured in various lengths up to 8’-6. The panels are easily installed with one or two installers. The panels are attached to the deck with #9-15 x 1-1/2” lg. Stainless Steel Screws in a FIELD screw pattern. This concept allowed us to achieve a FIELD design pressure of -127.50 PSF, which meets the 2014 FBC for 200 MPH.

FMRP chosen for “Hurricane Hardened” Design at Saint Leo University

August 2011

This is the first new academic building in the last 40 years on the campus and Saint Leo University has entrusted Lunz Prebor Fowler Architects with the programming and design of this 45,000 square foot, four story building. Our Barrel Style Metal Tile Roofing System was chosen due to its extreme uplift characteristics. In the event of a hurricane, the School of Business facility is intended to be the “safe shelter” for all students and faculty on campus.

The New School of Business is planned to be a minimum of LEED Silver certification by the USGBC.

The Diocese of Venice chooses FMRP for The Church of Saint Patrick in Sarasota

April 2011

The original concrete tile roof at The Church of Saint Patrick Church in Sarasota has been leaking for years. After investigating the benefits of several products including Standing Seam, our Barrel Style Metal Tile was chosen because of its Classic Tile look and unmatched uplift resistance. The original contract to replace the Sanctuary Roof was given to Crowther Roofing & Sheet Metal of Florida. The pastor and elders were so impressed with the quality of our metal tile and the workmanship of Crowther Roofing, that an additional contact was executed for the re-roof of the adjacent Parrish Hall.

Dark Ivy was chosen for the 41,800 Square Feet excluding the complimenting Tapered Standing Seam that was installed over the main sanctuary entrance.

FMRP Was the Perfect Choice for the Re-roof at The Villas of Pinecrest

August 2008

Florida Metal Roofing Products, Inc. supplied 15,880 SF of our 24 Gauge Barrel Style Metal Tile in a Colonial Red Kynar 500 panel.

Our ability to change the distance between the tile steps made our Metal Tile Roofing System the perfect choice for this re-roof application. We supplied panels with a tile step from 11-5/8″ to 12-1/2″, eliminating the need for field cutting the panel at each of the window openings. Each of the 8 buildings had slightly different requirements and installation was completed by Therma Seal Roofing in West Palm Beach, FL.
